We are excited to announce that the Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA opened the doors on Wednesday, June 17. We will be opening our spaces in phases so the Y might look a bit different initially. Click the link below to read our most recent member update email on the YMCA reopening.

A Message from our Executive Director, Eric Price:


We are running the monthly draft in hopes that our members continue to support the purpose and mission of the Y. Without your support, we would not have been able to pivot our resources to serve essential service employees and fulfill their need for child care. 

We also understand that staying an active member may not be possible for your family. We have created a special COVID-19 HOLD, which pauses your membership for a maximum period of time through October 31, 2020 without any fees. Please click HERE to access the link for the membership hold form.

Memberships that are paid in full on an annual or short term basis can be extended by putting the membership on hold.


Several of our spring and summer programs have been canceled due to COVID-19 and physical distancing requirements of 6 feet. We plan to provide refunds to families for program session dates that are canceled due to COVID-19. Please check back for more information on summer and fall programs.


During this challenging period, your commitment to the Y is needed more than ever. If you would like to provide support or help us share this message with others, please click here to our giving page.

Should you choose to direct your membership fees or other amount as a donation to the YMCA, here’s what your dollars would be going to help:

  • Keeping our school age child care operational for those in our community with essential personnel roles.
  • Offering a safe space for lunch pick up from the school district.
  • Retaining the staff members we need to keep our organization afloat.
  • Ensuring that your YMCA is here for you when it’s time to return.

Update your membership Status

We want to make it as easy as possible to update your membership status. We are able to offer a couple of options during these challenging times:

  • Keeping your membership active for the monthly draft to support the YMCA and its mission
  • Put your membership on hold for a period of time

We hope you'll consider maintaining your membership and #StayWithUs. 

We also understand that it isn't always possible. During these unprecedented times, we've made it possible to put your membership on hold from home. We've removed the hold fee and extended the maximum length of a hold to the end date of Ocober 31, 2020. We hope you will thoughtfully consider all of your options. 

The membership draft runs monthly on the 15th of the month at about 1am.
